Who We Are

Who We Are

High Plains Fellowship (HPF) is a new Southern Baptist church called a “church plant”.  Church planting pastors are often laypeople (regular church members) who have felt the Lord call them from their home churches to go into other areas and “plant” new churches. This is the same way the Gospel was spread during the first century as Apostles and missionaries went to new areas and shared the Gospel of Christ. Wherever the Gospel was shared, the new believers would begin gathering and a church was born! That strategy worked with the first churches almost 2,000 years ago and it still works today.

You will find that HPF is a group of like-minded people, united in the cause of Christ.  You won't find perfect people or a perfect church. What you will find are regular people just like you (men, women, children, electricians, businessmen, tellers, engineers, nurses, farmers, ranchers, retired, young and old) all seeking to know God at a deeper more intimate level.

If you are visiting for the first time, you will immediately be at ease as you walk through the door and are warmly greeted.  You will find the atmosphere casual and relaxing.  The music is God-honoring and is a balance of traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship.

We, at HPF, are driven by our love for Jesus. We are mission-minded and are serious about “making disciples and baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19) as Jesus commanded.
